My practice is foundationally centered around the approach of the whole body and its integrative systems, respecting its asymmetry and interconnectedness to allow for optimal function. Our bodies are not just bones and muscles; our nerves and lungs, our brains and eyes and ears, and even teeth are all important when it comes to our movements.
I believe that genuine connection and trust is important in healing. This allows me to optimize your longterm lifestyle and functional goals, while also helping to resolve your current symptoms or dysfunctions. I treat professional athletes on an international stage and people of all ages and lifestyles.
Pursuing advanced education has been particularly important to me in my career. I have extensive post graduate training in a variety of treatment and assessment methods that I will draw upon for an individualized and integrative approach with each client for life-changing care. These include but are not limited to classes and training from:
North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT)
Postural Restoration Institute ™ (PRI)
Mulligan
Diane Lee/Linda Lovejoy Lee
Neuro Orthopedic Institute for Pain Sciences
Gary Gray
SFMA
Hellerwork
Kinesiotaping
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
Pilates
East Asian Medicine
Energy Medicine
I have also been a faculty member at the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine. I continue to take courses and read to learn new ways to be on the cutting edge, and enjoy teaching other clinicians how to better serve our patients.
Outside of physical therapy, I have been a Professional Ski Instructor for over 40 years. I have been an Official Medical Provider with the US Ski and Snowboard Teams since 2006, which allows me to blend my passions for both physical therapy and alpine skiing. I live in Everett with my two dogs and husband who is also a professional skier as well as a general contractor. We enjoy being active in nature in many ways in addition to skiing including kiteboarding, paddle boarding, mountain biking, road cycling, and world travel.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve your goals!
